Perception and Degrees

Joy, jubilation, and all other celebratory words.

I think it has been one week since my last post.
...And then I found $50.

Something I recently learned.
Telling a pointless story, and ending with the phrase "And then I found 50 dollars!"
It's bound to cause some kind of excitement from your listeners if you find your pointless story, rather bland and dry.

Exactly.
So it goes well with my utterly pointless statement "I think it has been one week since my last post"
Of course it's been roughly one week, you kids can read the date of my updates.
Why on earth would I need to acknowledge it.

Also, something that has been brought to my attention, the amount of banter that I apparently take part in.
I'd like to apologize if it's tiresome.
I simply find it difficult to stimulate my thoughts without these pre-banter preparations.

Quick note.
I've pushed myself to write this blog, so excuse the possible lack of structure and flow this post may have.
Because you do know, how all my posts are so gramatically correct, logically sound and flow so nicely from one thought pattern to another.
As a result, this post may deviate from the astoundingly high-standards of my other posts.

Regardless.
Onto the topic that you, there in the audience, have patiently waited a week for with bated breath.

Perception and degrees.

At first, perception may seem something so easily defined and understandable.

However, as I wander to the trusty dictionary, I find it harder and harder to distinguish its clear meaning.

And that the word itself, can be interpreted in a possible variety of ways.

For me, as average I may be, the word is associated with how a topic is perceived, and how we, as unique individuals judge the topic in accordance to our personal attitudes, values and beliefs.

Everything depends on perception.
And perception of everything is so endless and undefinable.

I think this is what interests me.
How the perception of one thing, can be so extremely different depending on the individual.

For example, something I find immoral.
Someone may find acceptable or possibly even admirable.
Depending on their own personal aspects.
The aspects that make them who they are and what sets them apart from the rest of us.

The individuality of each person should be recognized by each of us.

And we should understand we are not a faceless member of the crowd.
But we are all someone with our own special story, and particular background.

We shouldn't forget that every single person has their own back story, and that of course;
Apologies for how cliche this may sound.
We are not the centre of everyone's universe.
We may be the centre of our universe.
But we are not the centre of others.
And that everyone's universe is unique and everchanging.

Degrees is related to perception.

How something can be pushed from one extreme to another.
Something involving steps, stages, connected along a line.

Similar to how everything depends on perception.
Everything depends on degrees.
We may respond to particular issues, events, anything in similar ways.
But most definitely, we will respond to them in differring degrees.

The more I attempt to consider these topics, the more I realize how lost I am in regards to these issues.
I don't know about degrees or perception.
I'm simply waffling on and attempting to join my thoughts in a semi-coherent manner.

I know what I perceive.
I know to what degree I respond to a particular issue.

But I find it difficult to comprehend the nature of perception and in particular, degrees.

That will be my attempt of the night.
Regarding this, suprisingly difficult topic of: Perception and Degrees.

Though something that I find particularly fascinating is Uniqueness and Individuality.
How sometimes we forget that each person we know, is not just a member that plays either a small or large role in our life.
But we are also players in their life.
And that they are the centre of their own particular universe.
While we orbit around their lives, and we are simply accessories that come and go.

Quite a vague and ambiguous post.
And quite lacking in my usual sharp sarcastic bite.
Next time though.
I'll try not to disappoint.

Signing off, GenerallyJen.

Jennifun Fact:
Simply entertaining the thought that;
Are we born evil and do we simply do good deeds for the quick second of satsifaction that the deeds brings, in an attempt to deny and suppress our true nature.
Or are we all, essentially, good people that trip up and make the occassional mistake, whether it be big or small.

Or even, humanity as a whole cannot be placed into one division.
Each invididual is placed into their own division. Evil or Good.

Taking it even further, this reference to Good and Evil.
What is their true definition and that actually, this "evil" and "good" all depends on our perception.
What do you think is good, and what do you think is evil.

It all depends on you.
