Predictability and Excitement

Why salutations, my loyal readers.
If you don't mind, I've also termed you kids "figments of my imagination".

University is upon us students.

It's weighing down on us, and also rising above us.
We're trying to keep ourselves afloat, struggling to see beyond the endless pile of assignments, but it seems never-ending.

The year started well, with bright-eyes and feelings of eager ambition.
This year was to be different, but it seems the same.
Days rushing past us, with frantic rushes to meet deadlines due to a horrible-habit of procrastination.

Nevertheless, onto the topic of today's entry.
I'm sure it'll leave you feeling energized and inspired.
Sarcasm again? Or am I really a fountain of inspiration and motivation?

So, let us explore the topic: "Predictability and Excitement".

I have been informed that, being described as 'predictable' is one of the worst things one can say to a female.
And I guess I have to agree. I like to know that I stand out, and that I'm different to the rest of the crowd.

Though, is it actually an insult to be termed 'predictable'?
Predictability is associated with reliability, with safety. And isn't that what we want in life?

Or are we entranced with the image of 'danger' and 'mystery' that has been romanticized in both classic literature, and in modern media.

I guess, though this is just a stab in the dark, it may stem from our fear of monotony.

This was explored in the previous post, and I can't seem to stop myself from going back to it.
I'm ever-paranoid about waking up one morning and finding myself lost in the blur of life.

We don't want predictability.

We want excitement. We want something interesting and something colourful.
Forget the shades of grey in life. Think colours and bursts of excitement and rushes of adrenaline.

So, do something unpredictable and suprise yourself.
It'll remind yourself that you're alive. And that life isn't something to pass you by, but something to be taken advantage of.

In this pursuit of being unpredictable, try to do something exciting.

When was the last time you were excited about something?

From the endless stream of uni, work and other such responsibilities, having fun and doing something exciting seems to have taken a backseat.

Maybe, take a time-out, and do something that colours your world, or makes an impact.

All I want is to have some fun and do something that's both worth doing, and that's worth remembering.

Signing off, Generally Jennifer.

Jennifun Fact:

I'm planning a trip to Melbourne and Sydney during June and July.
I've booked my tickets to both Melbourne and Sydney, though I've conveniently forgotten to book a return flight.
Is this a sign of my subconscious desire to leave Perth behind?

I mean, who wouldn't want a change of scenery and a new beginning.
