So before I get on with all the nitty-gritty details that do arise in my ever-so-stimulating social life.
I should make a quick apology to you - You there hiding in the back-corner trying to satisfy your GenerallyJen-stalking-desire of today.
I haven't blogged in a while, mainly because I suffer from that hideous condition that they have termed "laziness".
And I've been in holiday-mode.
I can't even imagine thinking in those well-constructed sentences that have the perfect grammar and punctuation that I usually use in my posts.
During holiday-time, all my intellectual-ability, since of course, I have much of it, goes down the drain and I'm left with an incorrigible thirst for a hedonistic lifestyle involving the satisfying of all worldly pleasures.
Actually, not really. I've been working. And I dream of a life full of hedonistic tendancies about as much as I dream of Jeannie...
Ramble time over. And Life update Trial 2 is now commencing.
So, put on some dance music to put yourself in a party-mode and read.
Holiday Highlight 1:
My family-holiday-trip to China and Hong Kong.
Good fun overall, though I could've done without the secret-fear that I might have swine flu and would not be let back into Australia.
I fought back against that fear by simply wearing one of those hygiene-masks as much as possible.
Holiday Highlight 2:
Working.
However sad that may sound. I did quite enjoy working this holidays.
Mostly because I'm in desperate need of some funding for my upcoming adventure in either July or November/December.
Then, I can finally satisfy my lifelong desire of visiting Europe.
Holiday Highlight 3:
Freedom.
As University ended, and holidays started, all these possiblities opened up and my days became possible days of adventure and frolicking in the sun.
Since while at uni, they were simply days that sped past me as I tried to stay afloat above the deadlines and study-commitments.
During holidays, everyday was new and exciting, simply waiting to be spent in the most satisfying way possible.
I love holidays.
That was my quick life-update.
Nothing extremely personal, I haven't even met you for coffee yet. I guess we'll see how it goes...
Nevertheless, it's now time to get ready to step out of my house and into the sunlight, where I'll most definitely burn, rather than sparkle.
I'd much rather burn in the sunlight than sucuumb to the ever-so-masculine portrayal of vampires by Stephenie Meyer.
Give me Bram Stoker's Dracula any day.
Signing off, Generally Jennifer.
Jennifun Fact:
The reason why individuals in the service industry wear name-tags.
We wear them in order to tell whether or not the individuals we are serving are indeed creeps or not.
Everytime a faceless stranger I'm serving addresses me by name, I get a horrible shiver up my spine and am only comforted by the fact that as an Asian, I most probably look like all the other Asians out there.
I guess there are pros and cons to every situation.
